Nothing Gold Can Stay

Shall I tell you a secret? All right, lean in. I'm a poetry girl. I swoon for a well written poem. And here is one of my favorites:

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

It's by Robert Frost. Short and sweet and lovely.
